Jim Rohn Passes
Sunday, December 6th, 2009
Jim Rohn
Motivational speaker, business philosopher and teacher Jim Rohn passed away on December 5th, 2009.
Jim Rohn had a “down home” style of relating his teachings and was always entertaining. His philosophies have directly influenced my thinking and understanding. I am grateful to him for this.
Rest in peace Mr. Rohn.

WEC – Cerrone vs Henderson
Saturday, October 10th, 2009There were some great fights on the card tonight!
A big surprise was the triangle submission by Mackens Semerzier against Wagnney Fabiano. That shows a great deal about the skills of Semerzier. Fabiano is known for his exceptional ground skills.
Scott Jorgensen put a beating on Noah Thomas. Thomas had some very good guard work going up until then.
Donald Cerrone vs Ben Henderson… great back & forth battle. Cerrone had a tight guillotine going in the first round, but it ended with Henderson postured up and throwing bombs.
Henderson’s takedowns scored big for him, but Cerrone had some outstanding submission attempts throughout the fight. Henderson got the decision after the 5 round battle.
There will be a re-play of the event on October 15th at 8:00pm EST on Versus Channel.

I’m looking forward to the next WEC… Mike Brown vs Jose Aldo! November 18th. Looks like some good fights on the card. Brown vs Also should be explosive!
Evans vs Jackson- Who’s the Better Coach?
Thursday, October 8th, 2009Just finished watching this week’s “The Ultimate Fighter”. The fight was pretty good this time. Action packed from start to finish.
They made it a point to highlight the fact that “Rampage” Jackson was late before the fight and near absent afterward. Even highlighting Rashad Evans consoling Jackson’s fighter.
It does seem that Jackson isn’t as involved with his fighters as Team Rashad. Maybe it’s just a style difference.
You can’t argue with the results so far, though. Team Rashad is now 4-0.
